A chameleon on his head.

Change it from pink to blue.

He’s a work in progress:  a soap opera, rated R.

His life has no eraser—

it’s something to endure—

 

like a tattoo sketched in flesh

always drawn deeper than skin.

And even then perhaps, confused

with the athlete’s personal choice,

such as:  to live with a nose ring.
