Scissors

 

A hand puppet for the blind.  The next step after braille:  insert thumb and index finger to create any image you wish.
 
What the mute know:  a tearing, and from a sheet something whole emerges:  ship, crown.  The rest is wrack, mar.  Pushed aside and swamped by silence.
