Paper

The formula for the speed of light entering a black hole, the notes for your acceptance speech:  paper's alchemy transmutes whatever is written on it to lead.  It cares nothing about reflection, only becoming.  Wad it up and it rumples into peaks and flats, a model globe.  Leave it in sunlight:  it starts to yellow.  You must have a say in this.  The snow of shreds settling casts the shadow of a glacier over your life to that moment.
