  Guidelines for Special Issue:

very short fiction 2006

This issue will appear sometime in 2006 and submissions will be read until we have a full issue.  The issue is to be guest edited by F. John Sharp.

What we want:

Fiction under 400 words. Not published elsewhere, including on the web. Simultaneous submissions are ok.  See below.

 How to Submit

These are important:

1.  Email email Dale no more than three pieces--fiction under 400 words.  Please make sure you've checked them thoroughly for errors and you've arrived at a final form.

2.  Include a "cover letter" in your email.  It doesn't have to be formal.  It just needs to make it clear that you are submitting the material for this special issue.  Include the phrase "flash submission" in your subject line.  This helps us a lot.

3.  Include a bio.  Check any issue of RHP to get an idea of format and length.  This saves a step if we accept your work.

4. Regarding simultaneous submissions. It's okay to send us work that you've simultaneously sent to others, as long as you let us know you're doing this when you submit to us, and you promptly withdraw your submission to us if another forum takes your work before we do.

5.  We don't pay anything for published work.

We obtain First North American/ Worldwide Serial and/or Electronic Rights. All rights revert back to the author upon publication.
