Martha's Bathtub



Candlelight flickers
off the avocado tile

and fogged mirror
as she soaks in the hot tub

with oil and bubbles
that foam around her breasts

Her long dark hair
drapes her glistening shoulders

A glass of white wine
sits on the floor within reach

She relaxes, smiles softly,
eyes closed, longs for nothing more
