You promise me
all we need
is a stretch of road,
a fast car
and enough cash
to burn.
There’s a fifth
of vodka
in the glove box,
a gun
under
the seat
and a full tank
of gas--
the last sin
I’ll commit
is cradled
in the kiss
of a woman
I have yet to meet.
