We Noise-Makers

 


Thank God
the drummer next door
has finished practice.
And the couple on the other side
are through arguing.
The guy at the back
is done with mowing his lawn.
So now it's my turn, everyone.
I'm sitting in the soft chair.
I sip coffee.
I turn the pages of a book.
Take that, neighborhood.
